ISS employs state-of-the-art technology through its metal disintegration machines (MDM) – the most powerful units available in the world today. Our ability to safely and effectively remove studs from ¼” in diameter up to 6” in diameter using this methodology, sets us apart from our competitors who utilize traditional drilling methods for this work activity. As an example our metal disintegration technology can completely remove a stud, 3 inches in diameter and 5 ½ inches deep, in less than two and a half hours, with absolutely no damage to the female threads in the tapped hole. We can safely and effectively remove studs and bolts of all shapes, sizes and metal types.
MDM is frequently used to remove broken taps, large pins, dowels and other components regardless of the material type or hardness.
